Flood damage and losses related to plumbing problems can be extremely costly and lead to higher home insurance costs. The WaterCop system offers a proven method to effectively reduce the chance of catastrophic plumbing related flooding. Each residential unit and cabana in the Brighton is equipped with an automated water shutoff system. The WaterCop system consists of water detection sensors, located near water using appliances and in rooms where running water is present, with wireless transmitters that communicate with the WaterCop automatic shutoff valve. When water comes in contact with any of the sensors, a wireless signal is immediately broadcast to the WaterCop main valve causing the valve to close. Water flow is quickly cutoff to all areas of the unit, the Front Desk is electronically notified, and any continuous flooding is stopped. The entire WaterCop system is maintained by the Association.
